Crossing the Desert is a dance performance about fear and its effect on the body. The performance looks at complex societal issues through individual stories that carry within them the daily victories and defeats of bodies that resist fear to preserve what remains of their intimacy. The performance questions the body’s presence and its problems in relation to the collective memory, the heritage, and the components of our society. The performance reconsiders the scale of the violence and repression that are imposed on the methods of expressing love, killing it and of defining its rules and controlling it by fear.
