This event brings together Goethe-Institut’s Secretary General Johannes Ebert, historian Franziska Davies, PEN Ukraine President and public intellectual Volodymyr Yermolenko to discuss various aspects of war, memory culture, the challenges of collective understanding and the impact of war on societies and individual memories. The discussion focuses on how war experiences are captured in individual and collective memories and how they shape the social fabric and identity of societies.
