The Goethe-Institut promotes the development of artists and cultural projects in various fields. We also support international exchange and offer a wide range of programmes that strengthen intercultural dialogue and collaboration between artists, cultural practitioners and young Australians.
Opportunities for young Australians
The Goethe-Institut and its partners support selected young Australians through stipends and fellowships for young professionals including curators, architects, scientific researchers and more.
The Fellowship offers young Australians a 12-week stay in Germany. The AGA-Goethe Fellowship targets graduates and postgraduates under the age of 35 moving towards a promising career in either economics, law, natural sciences, politics or arts.
As a registered Australian NFP, the Friends provide opportunities for young Australians to advance their careers in STEM, Music & Arts, Architecture & Design.
The German-Australian Opera Grant includes a one-year junior position at the Wiesbaden Opera, a one-month German language course at a Goethe-Institut in Germany and a one-month preparation for the work phase in order to gain a good insight into the workings of an opera house.
With the IKF, we support coproductions worldwide that arise from collaborative and dialogical work processes between professional artists in the fields of music, dance, theater and performance.
