The Goethe-Institut promotes intercultural encounters around the globe. In Australia, it stimulates bilateral dialogue with Germany by promoting and initiating cultural and educational projects and by bringing experts and artists from Germany to Australia.

The Friends of Goethe Australia are committed to this goal of intercultural exchange. As a registered Australian not-for-profit organisation, the Friends complement the work of the Goethe-Institut by providing opportunities for young Australians to advance their careers.

Scholarship Opportunities

The Friends of Goethe Australia offer scholarships for young Australians who are keen to advance their careers through a work placement in Germany. An amazing opportunity that will enable the selected scholarship recipients to work and conduct research in specific fields within German organisations and companies. New scholarship opportunities will be published soon.
