The Goethe-Institut awards scholarships for participation in language courses and professional development seminars (e.g. cultural studies, teaching methods) in Germany. You can apply for a scholarship from the Goethe-Institut if you are a current or future teacher of German or a person in key position in the education sector.

Language Course Scholarships

Current and future teachers of German, (DipEd/BEd/Bteach Students), librarians managing the Goethe-Institut’s Resource Centres, principals and persons in key positions in education with a good basic knowledge of German can apply for a two- to three-week German language course at a Goethe-Institut in Germany. Language Course scholarships offer the opportunity to improve and update German language skills in a German-speaking environment. The cultural and leisure program offered within the course will enable to learn more about Germany. Furthermore, all course locations offer the option to prepare for internationally recognised German language exams.
