 Scholarship Opportunity

The Friends of Goethe Australia are pleased to announce the launch of two scholarships for young Australians who are keen to advance their careers through a work placement in Germany for a period of four to six weeks. An amazing opportunity that will enable the selected scholarship recipients to work and conduct research in specific fields within German organisations and companies.

HOW IT WORKS

We offer a four to six-week scholarship to an applicant who live in Australia. The Scholarship provides the opportunity for an emerging leader to conduct a 4-6 week work-based internship in Germany at a prominent innovation company. The successful applicant will be awarded AD$10,000 for the duration of the internship to cover the cost of flights, accommodation and per diems and will be offered the opportunity to participate in a German language course at the Goethe-Institut before the commencement of the internship.

STEM Internship

This scholarship provides the opportunity for an emerging female resarcher to conduct a 4-6-week, work-based internship at a prominent innovation company in Germany. Its aim is to promote excellence in STEM research and innovation by providing a career pathway and mentorship for a promising female scientist or innovator thus celebrating the valuable and growing contribution made by women to this field. It is open to female graduates under the age of 35 who are completing or have completed a post-graduate degree across any area of STEM.

Call-Out: March 2024 | Application Deadline: 15 May 2024 | Finalising Shortlist/Interviews: End of May 2024 | Announcement of successful Applicant: June 2024 | Internship: August - December 2024 (depending on the project)
