An unusual Documentary about Water
Fresh from its world premiere at Venice Film Festival,
Aquarela takes audiences on a deeply cinematic journey into the transformative beauty and raw power of water.
Filmmaker Victor Kossakovsky used 96-frames-per-second technology to illustrate the fact that humans are no match for the sheer force and capricious will of Earth’s most precious element. From the precarious frozen waters of Russia’s Lake Baikal, to Miami in the throes of Hurricane Irma, to Venezuela’s mighty Angel Falls, water plays the lead role in
Aquarela.
Heino Deckert, the film's producer, will be present for a Q&A after the screening. His visit is supported by the Goethe-Institut. This event is part of the series
Antenna Festival.
