German-made and co-produced films return in a nationwide festival to Australian cinemas showcasing the best cinematic talent Germany has to offer.
Presented by Palace Cinemas in collaboration with German Films, the program includes not only award-winning dramas and box-office comedies but also documentaries, a Fassbinder retro and a selection of short films. This year's highlights include Fabian: Going to the Dogs featuring Tom Schilling as a dashing idealist in the 1930s, the gripping drama The Audition with Nina Hoss, and the comedy Nightlife starring Elyas M’Barek and Palina Rojinski.
The Goethe-Institut will again contribute the popular Kino for Kids program with hand-picked films for kids and teens. It's the perfect fit for students, teachers and parents who like to interest young people in the German language and culture. More info and links:
