We kindly invite you to our first virtual summer reception. The focus of the event will be the Conference of European Ministers and the importance of the representations of the German federal states in Brussels. After a welcome address by
Uwe Rau, Deputy Director of the Institute and Head of Language Work with Regional Mission Southwest Europe,
Peter Strobel, Minister of Finance and Europe of the Saarland,
Katja Meier, State Minister of Justice and for Democracy, Europe and Equality of the Free State of Saxony and
Heike Raab, State Secretary and State Representative of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate to the Federal Government and for Europe, Media and Digital Affairs representatives of the federal states of Saarland, Saxony and Rhineland-Palatinate will provide an insight into their work and speak about what characterises the German federal system and the European governance system in exclusive breakout sessions.
