Onleihe - The digital library

German e-books as well as digital newspapers, magazines, music, audio books and some films are available via the Onleihe. The media offering focuses on current German fiction, non-fiction books on German history and politics as well as materials for learning and practising the German language (including easy reading texts).

THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF MEDIA IN THE ONLEIHE:

ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, FREE OF CHARGE

After registering and activating the service, you can use the Onleihe service on your PC, laptop or mobile device via the Onleihe app (Android and iOS) whenever and wherever you want.

WHO CAN USE THE ONLEIHE?

Anyone with a permanent residence outside Germany can use our digital library. You can easily register for the eLibrary online. Library membership is not required.
