WHAT CHALLENGES DOES GERMAN-POLISH COOPERATION IN THE EU FACE TODAY?

Germany and Poland share a close relationship which is not only based on their joint membership of NATO (since 1999) and the European Union (since 2004). The two countries also look back on a long shared historical and cultural history and have been closely connected through intensive economic and political exchange for more than 20 years.

But what challenges does the German-Polish relationship face in the EU today? What role will Poland's upcoming EU Council Presidency in 2025 play and how can cooperation between Germany and Poland live up to their shared responsibility in the EU? What added value do cross-border activities offer and how can they promote the cooperation?

High-ranking political guests will discuss this with you. Afterwards, we cordially invite you to make new connections and celebrate old ones over small culinary delights and drinks. We look forward to seeing you!
