Poster exhibition and literary discussion

Participation for EU civil servants and ministerial officials from the permanent representations of the EU member states and German and DaF lecturers

To mark the 100th anniversary of Franz Kafka's death, the Goethe-Institut Brussels is hosting an exhibition of the comic biography Komplett Kafka, created in cooperation with the artist Nicolas Mahler and the Literaturhaus Stuttgart, as part of its Europanetzwerk Deutsch programme and Bildungskooperation Deutsch.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a literary discussion with Nicolas Mahler, during which he will present his book and his work on this biography. Mahler presents Kafka's life and work in an inimitably witty and pointed manner and incorporates great unknowns from Kafka's life and work into his own work.

Nicolas Mahler, born in 1969, lives and works as a comic artist and illustrator in Vienna. He has already received several awards for his extensive work, including the Max und Moritz Prize for "Best German-language Comic Artist" in 2010, the Literaturhäuser Prize in 2015 and the Sondermann Prize in 2019.
