Lively German Classes: The Relationship between Exercises, Tasks and Student's Texts
Goethe-Institut/Bettina Siegwart

Professional development course for German teachers in Canada at the Goethe-Institut Toronto

Goethe-Institut Toronto

The main research of Prof. em. Michael K. Legutke (Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen) focuses on early second language acquisition, foreign-language teacher training, and processes of task-based teaching and learning.

In this presentation and workshop, Mr. Legutke shows why a lively German class should be based on a balanced relationship between exercises, tasks and students’ texts. The participants will also discuss the dimensions of such a class with the help of authentic video material of German as a foreign language classes. The combination of presentation and workshop should let the participants reflect on their own practical experience from a new perspective.

The Goethe-Institut Toronto cordially invites you to this event on Saturday May 27 from 2-5 p.m.

Please register one week prior to the event via email to: Sprache.Praktikant@toronto.goethe.org.
