The Goethe-Institut is proud to participate in the 2020 edition of Nuit blanche as part of MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE. In October 2020, Canada will be the guest of honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair. To mark this event, the institute will be focusing on books and German language literature.

The VR adaptation of Franz Kafka’s
The Metamorphosis allows people to discover the world of Gregor Samsa and to experience the transformation into a giant insect. A collaboration of Goethe-Institut Prague and film director Mika Johnson, faculty member at the Prague Film School, and producer Shahid Gulamali.

Actor and author Dany Boudreault completed his training at the National Theatre School in 2008. An actor mostly dedicated to creation, he has appeared on Montreal theatre stages notably with : Parce que la nuit, a show for which he collaborated in writing with Brigitte Haentjens, Le songe d'une nuit d'été, which earned him a nomination for the Françoise-Graton Award for his interpretation of Puck, Le déclin de l'empire américain, Un tramway nommé désir and The Dragonfly of Chicoutimi. In the same period, he wrote and performed Je suis Cobain (peu importe) at La Petite Licorne, as well as the play (e) presented in May 2013 at the Théâtre d'Aujourd'hui's Salle Jean-Claude Germain. In the fall of 2019, he took part in the the revival of Les enivrés at the Théâtre Prospéro and of Éden, written by Pascal Brullemans, presented at the Salle Jean-Claude Germain.
He has been also appeared in several films including: Boris sans Béatrice and Vic et Flo ont vu un ours by Denis Côté, Le météore by François Delisle, Chasse au Godard d'Abbittibbi by Éric Morin and Gallant, confession d’un tueur à gages by Luc Picard, scheduled for the fall of 2020. For the past six years, he has been teaching actors-in-training at the National Theatre School of Canada.

Mika Johnson is a multimedia artist who directs fiction and documentary films, XR projects, music videos, and commercials. His most recent project “VRwandlung” is a VR adaptation of Franz Kafka's "The Metamorphosis.” Long term projects include "The Amerikans” - a web series featuring 15 short documentaries - and his recently completed debut feature: “Confessions of a Box Man,” the first part in a trilogy.
Along with exhibiting his work internationally, Johnson presents, lectures, and teaches workshops worldwide (see RECENT). He is also a member of the New York City based trio MomenTech: a multiplatform experimental production studio devoted to transnational progressivism, post-humanism, neo-nomadism and futurism.
