TITle | MON FABLIER BANTOU «Tales collection» |
SUMMARY | "Mon fablier bantou" is a collection of thirty fables inspired by African culture in general and Bantu culture in particular. These tales, which sometimes feature personified animals, sometimes human beings, all highlight the dynamics of human relationships in all their complexity and diversity. The situations described in the texts are sometimes complementary, sometimes contradictory, but always instructive, in a humourous, simple and, above all, wise tone. This is the choice the author seems to have made: to say things in a pleasant and colourful way, while at the same time instructing, warning and edifying. These are things written to soften people up and make them fit for the realities and vicissitudes of life. |
ABOUT THE AUTHOR | David Massoma Pandong is a civil engineer graduated from the Ecole Nationale Polytechnique de Yaoundé and is a research officer in the Prime Minister's office. He is married and has 4 children. Although he has a scientific background, he is passionate about literature. |

TITLE | Introduction à la sociologie de l'Afrique du troisième millénaire (Essai) |
SUMMARY | Africa today is a theatre of social dynamics, changes and even disruptions that affect all areas of life. These social realities are so dense that they merit a new approach of analysis to avoid fixation. While it is true that the continent has been the focus of a wide range of research in various scientific disciplines for several decades, the start of a new millennium is a turning point that must give way to a new approach, or even a new paradigm. It is in this need for renewal that this book responds, as an introduction to the sociological analysis that this era demands. In this vein, the socio-economic development of Central Africa, political and geostrategic reforms, external media hegemony and mystical-religious phenomena all deserve special attention. Throughout this book, discover a captivating exploration of contemporary African society. Immerse yourself in an in-depth, up-to-date analysis of the social and cultural dynamics shaping Africa today. |

Book Title: Ton sens de l’humeur
Author: Simone DaurevoirBook Signing Date: 09-10-2024
TITLE | Ton sens de l’humeur |
SUMMARY | Mental health is essential for social well-being and community support. In post-independence and culturally hybrid Africa, problems such as depression, anxiety and eating disorders are often ignored or stigmatised. Yet positive change in society depends on the mental health of its members, including a holy spirit. For an African population seeking to reconcile its painful past with a promising future, it is necessary to confront the challenges of the present moment. This essay underlines the importance of communication between oneself and the gaze of others, between individuals of different generations. It promotes understanding of the stigma attached to mental health. It also tackles the prejudices and taboos that hinder the healing process of Afrodescendants. It is an opportunity to reflect on the importance of mental health and the challenges to be overcome in this regard. |
ABOUT THE AUTHOR | A graduate in information and communication sciences, Simone Wonja-Ngueah is a copywriter, blogger and artist who explores gender and mental health issues of Afro-descendants under the pen name Simone Daurevoir. Since 2019, she has devoted herself to independent research in psychology and philosophy. Ton sens de l'humeur is her first book. |
