Each year, the PASCH initiative makes it possible to hold nearly 200 language exams in partner schools in Cameroon and Gabon. Students register at their respective schools with the German teachers for a fee of 3,000 CFA francs. Preparation courses are then organised in the schools until the exams are conducted by a Goethe-Institut team. The Goethe-Institut language certificate tests the four skills of language learning: listening, reading, writing and speaking.

The language certificates Goethe-Zertifikat Fit in Deutsch: A1, Goethe-Zertifikat A2: Fit in Deutsch, Goethe-Zertifikat B1 are internationally recognised. Not only are they accepted as proof of language level at universities and other Goethe-Institutes, but they can also be an important advantage when applying for a job.
