2024 marks the 100th anniversary of Franz Kafka's death. What makes the Prague writer still relevant and exciting for us today? The Goethe-Institut Cyprus is shedding light on various facets of the person and using the anniversary as an opportunity to reflect on Kafka's work. Various events await you in Nicosia, Limassol and Paphos, which will open up new ways of approaching the author and his work: From film screenings and exhibitions to a competition and a video game.

Playing Kafka

What choices would you make if you were Josef K.? As part of the poster exhibition KOMPLETT KAFKA, you have the opportunity to immerse yourself virtually in the mysterious world of Kafka's novels. The video game Playing Kafka lets the players embark on a Kafkaesque journey. Each choice affects the course of the game and the story. Playing Kafka encourages players to actively engage in the narrative and opens space for individual reflection on Kafka's work in the context of today's world.

Nicolas Mahler
