Sommerkino - Sandra Hüller Retrospective

Drama // 125 minutes // 2018

After CHRISTIAN (27) loses his job on a building site because of his unruly behaviour, he starts working in a supermarket. BRUNO, who works in the drinks department, takes the taciturn young man under his wing and becomes a fatherly friend. MARION, who is very fond of Christian, works in the sweets aisle next door. The coffee machine becomes their meeting place, but Marion is married. And then there's Pallet-KLAUS, who's the only one allowed to drive the big electric ant, RUDI, the night manager, TV-JÜRGEN from the non-food section, WOLFGANG from the tinned food section and IRINA from the pasta section, who meet every day in the aisles and do much more than just work there.

"In den Gängen" (In the Aisles) is a German drama film that premiered in 2018. The film delicately explores themes of loneliness, connection, and the quiet beauty of everyday life.
