Bremen

Drei Jugendliche lachen

Today the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen is a major business metropolis and university city. In the historic town center the famous Schnoorviertel district awaits with its enchanting half-timbered houses. Spacious parks and green spaces offer plenty of room for sports and recreation. A river steamer excursion on the Weser or a bicycle tour of the city’s scenic surroundings are just two of the many ways of experiencing the beauty of Bremen.

Travel Information

You can bring your child to and from the course location or use our transfer service if your child is travelling to and from Hamburg Airport. Please inform us of your child's travel plans up to eight weeks before the start of the course.

From 10 January 2025, a form for your children's travel information will be available here.

Supervised transfer from Airport Hamburg

A transfer service between Airport Hamburg (HAM) and the course location in Bremen will be offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the official arrival and departure days (waiting times may be involved).
One of our employees will be waiting at the transit area exit in the arrivals hall to greet the children when they arrive. He/she will be carrying a Goethe-Institut sign and will have identification. For organisational reasons, we cannot tell you the name of the employee until three days before the start of the course, at the earliest.

On the departure day, we will accompany your child as far as the airport check-in.

In the event of the flight being delayed, please note that a transfer outside the official transfer times will not be possible.

Arrival and departure outside of the scheduled dates

If you are not able to arrive or depart on the scheduled dates, please plan to arrive on the day after the course starts and leave on the day before the end of the course. Our staff cannot offer transfers or guarantee that you will be looked after before or after the course. There is also no catering available in the boarding school during this time.
