My areas of Interests:
Health, Labor Law, and Human Rights
I am particularly committed to issues at the intersection of workers’ rights and health. My article thus addresses silicosis, also known as grinder's disease, an irreversible lung condition that many foreign workers employed in Egypt’s quarries suffer from. Working under conditions that are detrimental to their health, day in and day out, thousands of workers die every year from a disease they don’t understand and that is considered by many a disease of the past.
