Biography Mikiyas Alemayehu
Mikiyas Alemayehu is a multidisciplinary artist with backgrounds in performing arts, filmmaking, and photography. After graduating with distinction in Theatrical Arts, he spent the better part of a decade received training in filmmaking and working with the Ethiopian National Theatre. He is currently a filmmaker at Kana Television.
As a photographer, Mikiyas likes to experiment with composition and photography techniques to tell stories that according to him, highlight the essence of the "human spirit". He especially uses combinations of action shots and portraits to express complex and abstract stories.
