Communication in the German Classroom

A positive feedback culture in the German classroom is always a major challenge for teachers: How do I give feedback at all? How strict should I be, especially in the interactive phases of the lesson, without demotivating my students or restricting their flow of speech? What different types of mistakes are there and what are their causes?
The focus of this online training course is on how you can support learners through direct and indirect feedback, which techniques are particularly effective in promoting independent language learning, and how feedback phases can become speaking prompts in the foreign language. Marking systems and feedback codes will be presented to help you correct your students' written work efficiently and clearly. Finally, we will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of individual and collaborative feedback and look at its application in practice.
