We would like to invite you to our prefessional development day at the Goethe-Institut Glasgow. This event is aimed at teachers of German and non-specialist teachers working in primary schools.
Topics:
- Current trends and projects for motivating German lessons
- Practical tips and hands-on materials to effectively motivate young learners
- Support and initiatives provided by the Goethe-Institut, e.g. organising German Clubs and taster activities, guidance on teaching German
- Chances to network and exchange best practices with other teachers
You can apply for funding:
- Reimbursement for the return journey to the Goethe-Institut if you travel via public transport (on presentation of invoice and receipt/s).
- Subsidy of up to £85 for hotel accommodation if your journey takes more than 2.5 hrs from station to station (available to registrations which reach us by 30 August).

Presentation (in English). Offers and support services from the Goethe-Institut and other partners for teachers and schools in Scotland.
12:15 - 13:15: Lunch and networking

Workshop: Hands-on tips and tricks for motivating young learners
14:15 - 14:30: Coffee break
14:30 - 15:25: Networking and best practice showcasing session (in English):
15:25 - 15:45: Introduction of Teachers of German in Scotland Network (in English)
