Work Shadowing Programme in Schwäbisch Hall (Germany)

Friends of the Goethe-Institut London are of the opinion that particularly in the context of the current situation in Europe, it is essential for young British students to gain access to positive experiences of Germany and its culture. Taking part in a work shadowing visit offers young people the opportunity to gain a valuable experience of living and working in Germany.

During the half-term holiday in October, the Friends of the Goethe-Institut London are setting up an annual work shadowing visit for British pupils to Schwäbisch Hall. The participants should be 16 and 17 years of age, with GCSE-level German.

Together with the Goethe-Institut Schwäbisch Hall we have designed the following programme:
Students will take part in a work shadowing programme in small to medium-sized German companies over a period of five days. They will also have a daily cultural programme, which not only allows participants to improve their language skills, but to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the German culture. Additionally they will have many opportunities to get to know Schwäbisch Hall, its people and the beautiful surroundings of this part of Germany.
