Which technical requirements do I need?

Bandwidth: 512 kbps Stable internet connection Valid email address Adobe Connect ® Software for the Online-Live meetings A headset with a microphone. If you decide to use the in-built loud speaker and microphone of your laptop it could result in an echo effect which would disturb you and the other course participants.

Take note before you sign up for a course

Registration for a course is exclusively online, and you can only register during the specified registration period provided on our website and flyers. Make sure you have registered on the portal before you make payment. Payments made are not refundable! Make sure the personal details you provide on the form correspond with your passport/ID. Select the right course when filling the form online and take note of the schedules. What you select on the registration form is what you will receive. If any course does not show in the selection box on the portal, it means it is either fully booked or not available An ECOBANK Account Information will be provided automatically after a successful registration. Kindly take note of the account details. Pay as soon as you register to secure your slot. First come, first served! Ensure that the student’s name is written on the pay slip at ECOBANK for easy identification. Pay only the amount you see on the registration form (nothing more, nothing less). Exam fees will be paid separately during exam registration period as indicated on the flyer. Contact us if you have any concerns regarding the fees before you make payment. In case of an overflow, participants will be placed on a waiting list until we find available slots. If not, we will refund the payment in due time or reserve it for the next course. Send a copy of the pay slip or proof of payment to registrations-accra@goethe.de as soon as you make payment to secure your slot. Send us an email if you do not hear from us within 48 hours after payment.

Can I rebook or cancel my course/ exam?

A booked course or examination can be postponed if the Language Department of the Goethe-Institut Ghana is informed of the desired change of booking before the start of the course or examination. A refund of the amount paid is not possible.

Our Blended Learning is a combination of live sessions on Zoom and self-study guided by a tutor on the learning platform of the Goethe-Institut. The course is divided equally between independent study and live-sessions, which leads to optimal learning results.

Placement test

Test your german
Are you taking one of our German courses for the first time? In this case, you will have to take a placement test before enrolling. This will help us to find out what previous knowledge you have, set a learning goal together with you and choose a suitable course. If you have no previous knowledge, you will automatically start at level A1.
