From 9 to 18 November 2020, important aspects of modern publishing were highlighted in online presentations and discussions.This specialized digital program, conducted within the framework of the 17th Thessaloniki International Book Fair, was addressed to publishers, booksellers, literary agents and literary translators in Greece and Germany.
The main topics were: Best practice examples for booksellers in the new conditions of the Covid-19 virus pandemic, successful online book marketing, and latest trends in the German audio book trade.
In the online seminars with a focus on translation, the special challenges in translating poetry and graphic novels were discussed, as well as network strategies and the importance of the cultural context in literary translation.
