Maren Kames

Maren Kames was born in Überlingen on Lake Constance in 1984. She studied cultural studies, philosophy and theater studies in Tübingen and Leipzig, and continued her studies at the Institute for Literary Writing in Hildesheim. Her debut 'Halb Taube Halb Pfau' was published by the publishing house Secession Verlag für Literatur in 2016 and has received numerous prizes and grants. With her second book 'Luna Luna' (2019) she was nominated for the Leipzig Book Fair 2020 prize. For both books, radio versions were produced on SWR and Deutschlandfunk Kultur, in part with her contribution. Maren Kames also works as a translator, mainly for Israeli writer Sivan Ben Yishai. She lives as a writer in Berlin.
