To mark the bicentennial of Friedrich Max Mueller, after whom the Goethe-Instituts in India are named, we are pleased to announce a unique open call for artists.

About the Open Call

Artists are invited to help us reimagine our beloved space, the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan New Delhi, a hundred years from now. Presently housed in a nearly 100-year-old building, how do you think the Max Mueller Bhavan will look like in a hundred years? What will change and what will remain? As we celebrate the past, we want to look towards the future, and your artistic vision could make us conscious of new ways that our institution and its namesake’s legacy could endure.

We invite you to capture the quintessence of the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan New Delhi, of its main building and premises. All art expressions are welcome.
