The prediction game for the UEFA EURO 2024
Are you already in fotball fever? On June 14, the European Football Championship kicks off in Germany and 24 nations will be competing for the title. To celebrate the tournament, we are inviting German learners from our partner schools to take part in Fußball-Orakel - the prediction game for UEFA EURO 2024. In this competition, participants have to guess the results of the matches and the tournament awards. Great prizes await the winners. Do you know the teams and players? Do you know which teams are strong and which are weak? Who is your favorite? Then read the details and participate.
DETAILS AND RULES
Who can take part?The competition is aimed at German learners from our partner schools in North-India who are between 11 and 17 years old. 2 students per school are allowed to participate. If more than 2 students from one school register, only the first 2 registrations will be accepted.
How can I register?
Interested German learners can register via the German teacher at their school until 31.05.2024.
Round 1:
- Participants register in a form and guess the results of the group matches that will take place from 14.06.2024 onwards.
- You can either choose the winning team or a draw.
- Participants receive 1 point for each correct answer.
- In addition, 5 special questions must be answered: Which country will win the tournament? Who will be player of the tournament? Who will be top goal scorer? Who will be the young player of the tournament? (below 22 years)
- After the group matches, which end on 26.06, the 30 best participants will progress to the next round.The participants guess all matches from the round of 16 to the final in stages.
- In this round, participants must guess the exact result after full time (i.e. also after any extra time or penalty shoot-outs).
- You receive 3 points for the correct result, 2 points for the correct goal difference and 1 point for the correct team.
- Correctly answered special questions from round 1 are rewarded with 5 points.
- Round 1 and Round 2 are added together for the overall result.
- The 5 best participants receive a prize.
- 31.05: Deadline for registration and prediction for the matches in round 1
- 03.06 - 07.06: Participants receive a confirmation
- 14.06 - 26.06: UEFA EURO 2024 group matches
- 27.06 - 28.06: The top 30 from round 1 are informed and predict the round of 16
- 29.06 - 02.07: Round of 16 matches of the UEFA EURO 2024
- 03.07 - 04.07: The participants predict the quarter-finals
- 05.07 - 06.07: Quarter-final matches of the UEFA EURO 2024
- 07.07 - 08.07: The participants predict the semi-finals
- 09.07 - 10.07: Semi-final matches of the UEFA EURO 2024
- 11.07 - 13.07: The participants predict the final
- 14.07: The final of the UEFA EURO 2024
- 15.07 - 19.07: The winners are informed
