Five Million Incidents | Sound Installation/Performance/Listening Session
Sonic Sessions
By Ish S
Sound installations, live performance, presentation/talks along with directed listening sessions.
These Sonic Sessions will be a set of sound installations and live interactive scenarios to engage the audience and the physical space. Through continuous engagement, the sonic experiences and the phenomenological can be derived. These sessions also present a unique opportunity to draw new connections so that the curatorial and creative can be engaged, truly reflecting on the medium of sound.
One part of the installation will be around the Indian Classical Raga System, presenting some aspects of this system as a sonic horizon of possibilities of hearing, engaging and inhabiting - a spatial sonic sculpture. The installations and directed sessions present an opportunity to engage with some heterogeneous listening perspectives.
The Sonic Sessions will extend the idea of an exhibition as an 'evolving phenomenon', focussing on creating a 'dynamic sound based space-time' to represent the medium of sound in its contemporary form, where subtle nuances of sonic phenomenon can be experienced through engaged listening(s).
