Natalie Soysa is a writer, photographer and curator based in Sri Lanka. In 2010, she quit a 12-year career in advertising to pick up a camera and never look back. She went on to be an advocate and journalist for the arts, leading to her heading the arts programme at British Council (Sri Lanka) from 2013 to 2015.
As an artist and curator, her credits include performing at the London International Festival of Theatre, curating an installation for the Alchemy Festival (Southbank Centre), exhibiting as a mixed-media artist at the Colombo Art Biennale and curating an exhibition of rock & roll inspired visual arts in Colombo.
She is currently curating content for a multidisciplinary cultural initiative in Sigiriya, Sri Lanka. Natalie is also a published travel writer and photographer, but her work extends to political, social and music journalism. She is a self-confessed geek, indulging in big doses of mythology, sci-fi and heavy metal whenever she can.
