Nusrat Sheikh

Nusrat Sheikh, originally from Bonn, has been working for thirteen years in international development cooperation focusing on peace, human rights and democracy related themes. She considers herself blessed having the experience of working and living in Pakistan and South Asia for five years.
She currently lives in Berlin and is working for Deutsche Welle Akademie on media development projects in Pakistan and other countries. Recently, she started autobiographical writing and reading as part of a literature platform for Germans with migrant backgrounds. When time allows, she loves to engage in cultural and literary projects such as “Poets Translating Poets”.
