Sharayu Ghurye

Sharayu Ghurye grew up in a unique multicultural, multilingual and international atmosphere in a tiny coal mining town in Telangana. Exposure as a child to several Indian languages as well as a couple of European and Asian languages like Russian, German, Rumanian and Japanese motivated her towards a Masters in German from the Mumbai University. She also has a Masters in teaching German as a Foreign Language from Munich. She is fluent in Marathi, Telugu, Hindi, German and English.
Sharayu has taught at the Master Program for German at the Mumbai University and worked on the multilingual dictionary project at the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. She has translated the books “Temples of Telangana” and “Forts of Andhra Pradesh “from English into German and works as translator and trainer at the Goethe Zentrum, Hyderabad.
