1. General Requirements
- Course participants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Prior to the course an enrolment form has to be completed.
- A placement test is required for all courses except A1.
2. Terms of Payment
The full course fee is due at the time of enrolment.
Electronic transfers, MPESA payment and direct cash deposits into our accounts are the only acceptable means of payment. Please make your payments into our accounts in Kenya or Germany as indicated below:

HOW TO PAY VIA M-PESA FOR LANGUAGE COURSES AND BOOKS
• Go to the M-Pesa menu
• Select “Lipa Na MPesa”
• Select “Pay Bill”
• Enter “Business Number : 925702”
• Enter “Account Number i.e. Course level & time-,your surname, initial of your first name” and press OK, e.g. “A1,0900-XXX, XX.”
• Enter the exact amount for tuition fees or books (Make sure that you have sufficient funds in your M-Pesa account to perform the transaction!) and press OK

• Confirm details then press OK

3. Fees
The contractually binding fee is the fee stated in the price list current at the time of application.
Should a participant wish to change his or her bookings /change course dates), then the first such change is free of charge. Each additional booking change is subject to a fee to 10% of the course fee.
Rebates
There is a special offer of tuition fees less 14% for intermediate and advanced level courses in succession.
4. Cancellation and refunds
No refunds will be paid once the course has started.
Cancellation must be submitted in writing. The date of cancellation shall be the date of receipt at the Goethe-Institut. A cancellation fee of 20% is applicable.
5. Changes in our course offer
The maximum and minimum number of course participants per class is stipulated as 18 and 12 respectively. Classes with less than 12 course participants will be merged with others on the same level taking place at a different time. If a class is cancelled and no alternative is available, the course fee of the concerned students will be carried forward to the next term.
6. International Students
Immigration authorities require international students to submit police clearance certificates from their country of origin as well as certified translated copies of their academic certificates prior to admission.
7. Liability of the Goethe-Institut
The liability of the GI and its staff members is limited to intent and gross negligence. GI also accepts no liability for the cancellation of its service due to force majeur (e.g. natural disasters, fire, floods, war, official orders and all other circumstances beyond the control of the contractual parties).
