Service for librarians
Our institute is a member of the Namibia Information and Archive Workers Association (NIWAN) and the African Library and Information Associations and Institutions (AFLIA).
There is close cooperation with the Educational Library Services of the Ministry of Education, which is responsible for school libraries in Namibia. The Goethe-Institut is particularly involved in the annual National Readathon.
Since 2023, there is a stock cooperation with the Sam Cohen Library in Swakopmund, so that the inhabitants of Swakopmund also have direct access to the library services of the Goethe-Institut.
The Goethe-Institut supports the great demand in the country for specialised information on the KOHA library software and occasionally offers workshops for beginners.
