1. Enrolment requirements
1.1 Minimum age for standard course: 16 years
1.2 A placement test at no cost is required for all learners who have not previously attended a course at Goethe-Institut Nigeria and wish to take a course from A2-C1.
1.3 A valid nationally recognised means of identification is compulsory in order to complete registration. Applications without the required documents will not be processed.
1.4 Registration takes place on a first come, first served basis.
2. Terms of payment / fees
2.1 Accepted Modes Of Payment:
- Cash deposit into Citibank
- Bank transfer in Naira (with description!)
- Contact us for Euro transactions
2.2 Course fees
2.2.1 Standard course fee includes course books for the physical course only.
2.3 The course fee is to be paid in full, and at once; no payment in installments allowed.
2.3.1 The standard course fee excludes the Goethe-Institut’s international examination fee.
3. Cancellation of courses and refunds
3.1 Cancellations must be submitted in writing. The date of cancellation shall be the date of receipt at the Goethe-Institut Nigeria.
3.2 A cancellation fee of 25% of the full course fee is applicable should you cancel before the course starts.
3.3 No refunds after commencement of classes.
4. Class size
4.1 The group size of a standard course varies from 8-18 course participants.
4.2 Goethe-Institut reserves the right to adjust the course format, regroup classes or cancel the course if need be.
5. Course format and duration of courses
5.1 Standard courses: two to four times per week 120 TU, 150 TU or 180 TU as applies. (1 teaching unit = 45 Minutes).
5.2 We currently offer the standard and extensive course format.
6. General
6.1 Participants who have attended less than 70% of all classes will not be issued a participation certificate. A participation certificate is issued only after the course has ended.
7. Responsibility of participants
Participants are obliged to comply with the course rules and the house rules applicable to Goethe-Institut.
8. Liability of the Goethe-Institut
The liability of the Goethe-Institut and its staff is limited to intentional and gross negligence. The Goethe-Institut accepts no liability for the cancellation of its services due to force majeure (e.g. Natural disasters, fire, floods, war, official orders and all the other circumstances beyond the control of the contractual parties).
