Voorzitterschap van de Raad Our projects during the German EU Council Presidency
Germany will take on the European Council Presidency from 1 July to 31 December. During this period, the Goethe-Institut will be organising projects throughout Europe: in an artistic and discursive way, we will work with our partners to strengthen the common European public sphere, promote digital civil society and promote ecological cultural change.
“Disappearing Wall” European Diversity
The EU 2020 projects of the Goethe-Institut are funded with special funds from the German Foreign Office for the German EU Presidency 2020.
European Songbook
The European Songbook is a collection of songs that people associate with Europe. As diverse and melodic as Europe itself are the songs and the inhabitants' views about their continent.

Freiraum
“Freiraum” is a project of the Goethe-Instituts in Europe in cooperation with 53 actors from culture, science and civil society. Until March 2019, around 40 European cities will explore the issue: What is freedom in Europe today? Where is it endangered? How do we strengthen it?
