For her mother's 60th birthday, Clara, a philosophy doctoral student from Berlin, travels to the Mecklenburg province. The self-determined urban existence meets familial roots. A sensitive sociological study on home and upbringing, post-reunification traumas, and environments from which one can emancipate oneself but can never fully overcome.
