Selection of short films of the Berlinale 2015
The Goethe-Institut Philippinen in partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is bringing the short film section of the Berlinale 2015 to the Philippines.
From
Dec 2 to Dec 20, twelve short films in two programs - especially curated for Southeast Asia - will be shown free of charge in four cities across the archipelago starting in Manila, Baguio, Davao and on to Iloilo.
Leporello Berlinale Spotlight
The short movies deal with current topics, ranging from surreal to real, from marvelous to cruel. Because in 2015 everything came together. Highlights of Berlinale Spotlight will be the screenings of the Korean Golden Bear for Best Short Film winner "
HOSANNA", the Silver Bear Jury Prize (Short Film) winner
"Bad at Dancing" and the Berlin Short Film Nominee for the European Film Awards 2015
"Dissonance".
The annual Berlin International Film Festival, also known as the Berlinale, is Germany's most prestigious film festival and also one of the most important dates on the international film industry's calendar. Last February it took place in Berlin for the 65th time. 443 films were shown and the ones in the section Competition and Berlinale Shorts competed for the prestigious awards called the Golden and Silver Bears. The Berlinale Shorts comprises international short films that demonstrate an innovative approach to film making.
