More than 250 students from Pakistan attended the Goethe-Institut's premiere opening of the Science Film Festival 2024 at The Dawood Foundation’s MagnifiScience Centre.

The Goethe-Institut’s opening of the Science Film Festival 2024 was held at The Dawood Foundation’s MagnifiScience Centre on the 7th of November.

With over 250 students in attendance, including many from underprivileged backgrounds, the event featured the screening of Plastic Pollution, a local film addressing the urgent issue of plastic waste, especially in coastal regions.

Students from different schools also showcased their science projects focused on the theme, explored the centre’s various exhibits, and heartily enjoyed a healthy buffet breakfast.

This year’s theme, "Net Zero and the Circular Economy," emphasizes the need for innovative solutions to tackle climate challenges.

Running from October 1 to December 20 globally, the festival showcases 132 films from 36 countries and raises awareness about critical global issues.
