European Film Festival 2025: Sieger Sein (Winners)

The European Film Festival (EUFF) is an annual event that showcases a curated selection of European films. 

Presented by the European Union (EU) Delegation to Singapore, EUFF shines the spotlight on European cinema by bringing films to Singapore reflecting Europe’s creativity, inclusivity, and diversity. The 34th edition of EUFF runs at The Projector (Cineleisure) from 23rd April to 24th May 2025.

This year’s festival presents films from 23 countries, reflecting on the variety of perspectives, histories, languages and cultures from across Europe.

Film Synopsis

Eleven-year-old Mona has fled Syria with her Kurdish family and ended up in a school in Wedding, where 90% of the students are “foreigners”. And while Mona doesn’t know much German, she speaks football fluently. When a dedicated teacher Mr Che recognises her extraordinary talent and accepts her into the girls’ team, chaos erupts within the team and the whole school. But eventually, one thing becomes clear: they can only be winners if they learn to play together.
