In addition to the ongoing transformation phase, Sudan is still characterized by economic challenges that have a direct impact on people's everyday lives and also affect aspects of a healthy environment, which is a prerequisite for long-term stable economic and social development: a functioning waste management system consists of the most cities or districts do not, instead waste is simply incinerated. The government does not have sufficient financial resources to deal with pressing environmental problems such as water and air pollution and desertification. However, there is a diverse relationship between economic development and environmental protection, which has a positive effect on coexistence, protects the natural foundations of life and at the same time increases social welfare.
In 2022, the production fund, which has existed since 2019, was aligned with a focus on creative environmental protection projects and sustainability. Qualification measures for the participants, pitching training and project management training, were also retained. Through the project management training, the participants have received feedback on their project planning and project ideas and can adapt them if necessary.
