This year’s Bangkok Book Festival takes place on Saturday, September 30, which coincides with International Translation Day. To celebrate the latter, we are delighted to invite you to join “al·pha·bet & trans·la·tion”, where we will discuss aspects of literature in translation.

Program rundown

The talks and discussions will consist of ten sessions that track the translation process of a book from the start to the reader's hands.

Pop-up exhibition

30 September - 31 October 2023 at the Goethe-Institut Library

This small-scale exhibition is devoted to showcasing a selection of rare and hard-to-find translated works together with book covers from a number of different publishing houses. The exhibition has been designed by the team at ‘Give Me Museum’. You are welcome to visit our exhibition during the Library’s normal opening hours.
