Chung-Chi Kuan studied German at the Catholic University of Fu-Jen, where she graduated in 1999 with a master's degree. German-language summer and preparatory courses took her to the universities of Marburg, Göttingen and Freiburg.
In addition to her freelance work as a literary translator from German to Chinese (traditional), she has worked as a lecturer and senior editor for various publishers and as a literary agent for German-language literature. At her alma mater, Fu-Jen University, and at Tamkang University, she has also worked as a lecturer in German-Chinese translation courses. Chung-Chi Kuan lives in Kaohsiung.
