The National Library of Thailand
Ms. Nawarat Panyangam is the director of the National Library of Thailand, under the administration of the Fine Arts Department, Ministry of Culture. She earned the master’s degree in library and information science. She has more than thirty years of experience working in the library field. Furthermore, she has experience and expertise in cataloging, information technology, information resources service and information resources development as well.
In 2006, she got a fellowship from the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS), Kyoto University for conducting research titled “Articles of Thai Cremation Books in the Center for Southeast Asian Studies Library”. In 2016, she got the Outstanding Worker Award from the Fine Arts Department, Ministry of Culture.
