In our series dedicated to experimental currents in new art music, we are pleased to present some of the most avant-garde ensembles from Thailand: UNPLUG Ensemble, Tacet(i) Ensemble, and TYOY Ensemble, featuring artists such as Siravith Kongbandalsuk, Dirk Johan Stromberg, Mahakit Mahaniranon, Sukrit Chomsawat, Worawan Worachat, Palindroma, and Thanapat Ryan Ogaslert.

The student ensembles, formed through the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music's "Composing and Performing with Modular Synth" course, exemplify a diverse array of musical approaches at the intersection of traditional Thai music, contemporary classical music, and New Music. The historical context of this concert is significant as it showcases the merging of the rich heritage of traditional Thai music with contemporary forms and experimental genres, using using traditional instruments, electronic devices, modular synthesizers, newly invented instruments, and live visuals.

Additionally, the event will feature demonstrations of modular synthesizer products from "Siam Modular" and "Voxmachina." These demonstrations provide attendees with the opportunity to engage with the latest advancements in modular synthesis technology, reflecting ongoing innovation in electronic art music.
