A key networking event within the Oussoulna project was the three-day conference of the International Research Center for Cultural Heritage (IRMC) on ‘Cultural Heritage Libya’, which took place in Tunis, Tunisia from the 19th to the 21st of June 2023. This conference provided a valuable opportunity to hold meaningful discussions on Libya's cultural heritage, make important contacts within the Libyan cultural scene and further disseminate the call. The three-day conference attracted 35 participants. The participants included Libyan and Tunisian alumnae, archaeologists, and civil society actors. The event was both crucial for the current exchange and significant for the future strengthening of cooperation and communication with the Libyan cultural scene.
Another important event was the final event of the qualification program on the 2nd of October 2023. The project members presented their project results at the Archivart Gallery in Tunis, Tunisia and exchanged ideas with each other and with stakeholders from the partner organizations. The closing event was attended not only by project members from Libya, but also by stakeholders from the partner organizations and cultural practitioners from the Tunisian cultural scene. The event provided an opportunity to share experiences and create stronger links between the Libyan and Tunisian cultural scenes.
