Further Information for Interns

The Goethe-Institut Washington offers students from the third semester onwards the opportunity of an internship. You will gain an insight into the work of a Goethe-Institut, participate in the planning and implementation of cultural programs or take on tasks in language course work, German educational cooperation or information work.

Requirements
The following conditions apply for an internship at the Goethe-Institut Washington:

  • German citizenship and/or very good German language skills (native speaker level)
  • Good knowledge of the English language desired
  • Started/completed university studies in the humanities, business administration, law or information science leading to a Diplom, Magister, Bachelor, Master, state examination for secondary school II or a doctorate at least 3 semesters and not older than 30 years
  • Willingness to work in the evenings or at weekends as part of events
    Willingness to promote the interests of the institute and to participate in program events
