Mark Beasley, Hirshhorn Curator of Media and Performance Art, will lead a discussion on methods of staging the body and the historic use of music, from pop to avant-garde, by contemporary visual artists with panelists
David Levine, visual artist and theater producer;
Julia Simpson, trainer for
This You performers; and
Drew Daniel, member of the Baltimore-based musical duo Matmos.
Visit the Sculpture Garden prior to the event to encounter this living sculpture for a special extended viewing until 6:30 pm.
