Join EUNIC New York for a vibrant celebration of the European Day of Languages at the Queens Night Market on September 28th from 4pm to midnight! Enjoy a day filled with diverse culinary delights, performances from talented European artists, a language lottery, and fun activities for all ages. Come explore the rich linguistic heritage of Europe and indulge in delicious food from diverse international cuisines!

EUNIC Stand at the Queens Night Market: stop by booth H from 4pm - 12am to learn more about what European Day of Languages-related activities will be happening on the day and to learn more about EUNIC New York's mission and future programming!

European Day of Languages Activities:
  • Language Lottery: Stop by the EUNIC stand to enter your name for the chance to win a free language class in the European language of your choice! We will hold two separate drawings during the day, giving you double the chances to win. The first drawing will be announced at the performance area at 6:20pm and the second will be notified at the end of the day via email. All winners will be contacted the following week via email to claim their prizes. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to expand your language skills! Visit the EUNIC stand to discover available languages.
  • "Spin to Win" : Stop by the EUNIC stand to answer trivia questions and get the chance to win amazing prizes from our EUNIC Institutions. Answer questions about languages spoken in th EU, NYC, the US, and more. Test your knowledge and celebrate the European Day of Languages with us!
  • European cultural performances: throughout the event, stop by the performance space at the Queens Night Market to enjoy various performances from European artists. 

EUNIC New York
Created in 2007, the New York cluster of EUNIC, bringing together around 40 cultural institutes, general consulates and cultural missions from the countries of European Union, is working together with NYC and American partners to promote cultural diversity and understanding; strengthen the transatlantic dialogue and cultural cooperation; conduct research and share best practices; showcase European values and creativity in the arts, creative industries, development cooperation, digitalization, education, gender, heritage, human rights, language and multilingualism, social inclusion, sports, sustainability, tourism, youth, and others.

Queens Night Market:
The Queens Night Market is a large, family-friendly open-air night market in Queens, featuring up to 100 independent vendors selling merchandise, art, and food and featuring small-scale cultural performances, all celebrating the rich cultural diversity and heritage of NYC and Queens.
